Sri Lanka under 19 Girls Volleyball player, Sri Lanka Junior Colours holder, Captain of under 12 and 15 Volleyball teams of the schools Poraba Badalge Don Rashini Ishara brought honour and glory to her Alma Mater Dammissara Maha Vidyalaya, Natttandiya She was admitted to this school in 2006 and she had her entire education over there.
When Rashini was 10 years old she participated in her school Annual Sports Meet in the years 2009 and 2010. She swept the board in 100 metres, long jump and high jump in both these years.
She attended volleyball practices in the under 11 age group under Pasan Jinadasa and got selected for the under 12 team and in the same year they won the Divisional, Zonal, District tournaments and in the DSI All Island Tournament they emerged Runners Up . Their under 14 team qualified for the DSI Tournament and they were the Runners Up and Rashini was adjudged Best Player of the tournament.
In 2014 playing in the under 15 All Island Tournament under her captaincy they were the Runners Up. In 2015 and 2016 they won the Lower Division and qualified for the under 16 All Island Tournament and won the second place.
With all these performances under her belt she was selected for Sri Lanka under 19 Tour of Asian Junior Womens Championship in Vietnam in 2018 in which 15 countries participated. She was awarded Sri Lanka Junior Volleyball and School Volleyball Colours.
She was the Schools Sports Captain and she was re awarded with school volleyball colours. In the same year at the Inter House Volleyball Tournament she was adjudged the Best Player.
During her volleyball career at her Alma Mater her coaches were Keerthi Jayasekera, Channa Jayasekeara, and Mrs. Akila. The Principal Anil Pushpakumara were very supportive of her at all times.
Her parents P. D. G. Jayathilake, Thanuja Sudarshani and her sister Thilini Shamila the Sri Lanka Army Volleyball player were behind her success. In addition she participated in Netball and Athletics at the School Inter House Sports Meets and in the Tournaments.
