Under 19 Division Three Inter- School Cricket TourneyWarnakulasooriya Hashen Lalendra Fernando skipper of Loyola College Negombo turned in a fine all round performance in the Under-19 Division Three inter Schools Cricket (Two day) tournament 2019/20 conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.

Hashen Lalendra Fernando joined Loyola College Negombo in 2009 at grade One. Nine year old Hashen started his Cricket career under the guidance of coach Dinesh Ranatunge in 2013. He played three under 13 seasons from 2013 to 2015. He led the school under 13 team in 2015. He scored 222 runs and claimed 18 wickets in the same season.

He represented the school under 15 team in two seasons 2016 and 2017. He represented the Gampaha district Zone two under 15 team for the Prima Champions trophy inter district Cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket in 2016. He scored 361 runs and took 31 wickets in the under 15 season of 2017 as the skipper.

He represented the school under 17 team in 2018 and 2019. He played for the under 15 and under 17 teams under the coach Moditha Bandara from 2017 to 2019. He took 29 wickets and scored 129 runs in the under 17 season of 2019 as the skipper.

He played in two under 19 seasons in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019. He scored 438 runs with a half century and took 36 wickets for 502 runs in the season of 2018/2019. He led the school under 19 team under the current coach Niranjan Paramanadan in the season of 2019/2020.

Hashen Lalendra Fernando third year coloursman right hand middle order batsman scored 648 runs with a century and four half centuries witha top score of 147 runs against Maliyadeva Model School Kurunegala. He made half centuries against Sri Sumangala Kandy (61 & 89) and Lyceum International School Panadura (60 & 56).

He claimed 76 wickets for 813 runs with 6 five wicket hauls and a 10 wicket haul with a best in an innings of 8 wickets for 47 runs against Prince College Ratnapura as right arm off-spinner. He claimed five wickets haul against Gonzalvez Pamunugama (5/40), Prince College Ratnapura (8/47), Sri Sumangala Kandy (6/69), St. John’s Nugegoda (6/28), Debarawewa National School (5/19) and Ananda Shashtralaya Matugama (5/57). His best all-round performance was against Maliyadeva Model School Kurunegala in the pre quarter final match. He scored 147 runs in 155 deliveries and took 4 wickets each in both innings for 15 runs and 24 runs.

Loyola College Negombo advanced to the quarter final of the Division Three (Two day) tournament under Hashen Lalendra Fernando.
