Mapa bags nine in Royal win

A fine match bag of 9 for 39 (4 for 7 and 5 for 32) by Sasindu Mapa helped Royal College, Colombo defeat Sri Rajasinghe Maha Vidyalaya on first innings by 116 runs in their inter-school under 13 division two cricket tournament match played at Buthgamuwa.

Batting first, the homesters were shot out for 54 runs. Kemitha Govinda claimed 4 for 8.

In reply Royalists declared at 170 for 9 with Isula Geeganage scoring 76 runs. Kemith Hesitha had a fine spell of 6 for 60 and at stumps Sri Rajasinghe were 65 for 7.

Sri Rajasinghe Vidyalaya 54 in 25.1 overs (Chanaka Prabod 19, Sasindu Mapa 4/7, Kemitha Govinda 4/8) and 65/7 (Kemith Hesitha 22, Sasindu Mapa 5/32)

Royal College 170/9 dec. in 44 overs (Isula Geeganage 76, Basitha Ariyawansa 29 n.o., Pasindu Nishan 2/25, Kemith Hesitha 6/60)
