UC Wattala and St. Anne’s SC emerged winners at the Super Sixes Softball Cricket Tournament organised by the Colombo District Women’s Cricket Association held at Nawaloka Playground Welisara.
Last year’s men’s and women’s champions Shangrila Hotel could not reach to finals. UC Wattala and SLT Welisara qualified for the men’s finals while Police SC and St. Anne’s SC featured in the women’s final.
This tournament was played on a league basis. In the women’s section, St. Anne’s won the Ashok Steel Trophy for the champions while Police SC became runners up.
The Chief Guest at the finals was Sri Lanka Cricket secretary Lion Mohan de Silva. Hemas, Nature Spices, Zesta tea and Ariya milk gave assistance for gift packs.
