A brilliant unbeaten 103 runs by Rifath Rizwan helped Zahira College Colombo to beat Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda by 159 runs on first innings in their inter school first eleven cricket match worked off at Galle.
Rifath had twelve fours and faced 165 balls and Aravindan Rajendran gave all the encouragement to Rifath with a solid 74 runs.
Batting first Sokians collapsed for 128 runs with Aroshan de Zoysa scoring 42 runs and Aravind Rajendran bowled best for Zahirians with 3 for 8 runs. In reply visitors declared at 287 for 7 with Kavindu Nadeeshan claiming 5 for 115 and at stumps homesters were in a sound position with 191 for 2 with Hasitha Rajapaksha scoring a splendid unbeaten 101 runs and Dinuka Dilshan too was unbeaten on 60 runs.
