A hurricane unbeaten 203 runs by Tashen Tharaka and a very fine match bag of 10 for 43 (7/14/ and 3/29) by Nirmala Kithmal helped Royal College Horana to beat Kamburawala Maha Vidyalaya by a massive 391 runs in their inter school first eleven cricket match played at Horana.
Tashen hit twenty five fours and eight sixes and faced 171 balls. He was ably supported by J P Kumara and Rukshan de Silva who contributed 66 and 57 runs respectively.
Batting first Horana Royalists declared at 373 for 6 and in reply visitors were bundled out for a paltry 35 runs and in their second essay homesters declared at 125 for 5 giving their opponents an uphil task of scoring 464 runs for an outright victory and visitors were all out for 72 runs with Dimantha Dinujaya capturing 6 for 16 runs.
