Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to send Manoj Abeywickrama as the Fielding Coach of the Sri Lanka Team for the One Day International (ODI) series against Bangladesh, which begins in Dhaka on Sunday.
Abeywickrama, who was the Assistant Fielding Coach, accompanied the 18-member squad in the absence of Australian fielding coach Shane McDermott.
According to SLC sources, McDermott has applied for a short break two days before the team departure but will be available for the England tour.
Meanwhile, SLC Director of Cricket Tom Moody will travel with the National Team as a Consultant Coach for the England T20 and ODI series, which will commence from June 23.
