Ban Tech bags Bangladesh home series media rights

Ban Tech would now negotiate with Gazi TV and T Sports to telecast the series against Sri Lanka

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials yesterday said that Ban Tech, a marketing agency, has won the bid for their new home series media rights.

Priced at US$ 19.7m, the broadcasting rights for the national Men's team's home series will run from May 18, 2021 to October 5, 2023.

Bangladesh National Team is scheduled to play nine home series during this time frame comprising seven Tests along with 18 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 19 T20Is.

Ban Tech had earlier bought the TV rights for the home series against West Indies and were the only party to have taken part in the bidding.

They quoted just above the US$ 19m floor price set by BCB last month.

Ban Tech is now negotiating with T Sports and Gazi TV as they are the frontrunners to telecast the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, slated from May 23. (Agencies)
