Two big wins propel Stafford International School to second round

Two big wins propelled newcomers to the All Island Schools under 13 cricketing arena Stafford international School, Colombo to the second round of the under 13 division III cricket tournament.

Playing in Group 'Colombo 13' of the tournament, Stafford International annihilated Guidance College, Kesbewa by an innings and 112 runs and Zahira College 'B' by an innings and 218 runs while time deprived them of a first innings win against Moratuwa MV 'B'.

Skipper Dinuk Wijerathne was the highest run-getter scoring three half centuries to aggregate 206 runs while vice captain Shakkin Kalamohan smashed an unbeaten 101 off 55 balls (9x4, 6x6) against Zahira.

Left arm spinner Viknesh Ravichandran was the highest wicket taker with best figures of 7/24 and a match bag of 10/30 against Zahira.

Right arm medium pacer Nikitha Ramanayake was rewarded with 11 scalps.
