Further to the discussions held between the newly elected Executive Committee of SLC with the Auditor General of Sri Lanka Gamini Wijesinghe, SLC was pleased to have the presence of Wijesinghe at the SLC Headquarters yesterday, states an SLC media release.
Wijesinghe met with the Chief Operating Officer of SLC Jerome Jayaratne who held positive discussions with the Auditor General.
During discussions, Jayaratne informed the Auditor General that the SLC Executive Committee at their meeting held on 25 February 2019, directed the Senior Management of the SLC to extend their fullest co-operation and assistance in conducting of the Forensic Audit of the SLC accounts into the period 2016-18; a move initiated by the Minister of Telecommunications, Foreign Employment and Sport Harin Fernando.
