Cambrians lose to Mahanama by an innings

Mahanama College Colombo beat Prince of Wales College Moratuwa by an innings and 67 runs in their Singer Trophy Under 19 inter-schools cricket match played at Moratuwa yesterday.

The Cambrians were shot out for scores of 77 and 67 in reply to Mahanama’s total of 211.

Sonal Gamage took seven wickets for 31 to rout the Cambrians in their second innings.

At Ja-Ela Dhananjaya Fernando of Christ King scored 198 out of his side’s total of 301 in their drawn encounter against Karunarathne Buddhist MV Ragama. It was his third century of the season.

Karandeniya Central College beat Keaglu Vidyalaya by 7 wickets, St. Joseph’s College Bandarawela beat Dharmadutha MMV Badulla by 75 runs and Hindu College Jaffna beat Jaffna College by 233 runs. The rest of the matches were drawn.
