Asitha Wickramatunga adjudged the Best Taekwondo Referee at the awards ceremony of Korean Ambassadors Cup Taekwondo Championship 2021 held on October 26 at the Korean Embassy in Sri Lanka.
Asitha Wickramatunga is a Technical Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation and Athlete Committee Member of Asian Taekwondo Union (Black Belt 5th Dan Korea). Also he is a Chief instructor of Elite Taekwondo Club, Raddoluwa.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Namal Rajapaksa was the Chief Guest at the awards ceremony. The Ambassador of Korea Santhosh Woonjin Jeong, President of the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation Chaminda Punchihewa, Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation Kanchana Jayaratne Technical Committee Chairman of Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation Grand Master Ki Su Lee and Secretary of the Sri Lanka Taekwondo Federation Ruwan Alahakoon and Director General of the Sports Ministry Amal Edirisooriya also attended the awards ceremony.
