The Sri Lanka Cricket Team arrived in Dhaka yesterday to play three One-Day International (ODI) matches against Bangladesh from next week.

The three-match series which is a part of the ICC ODI Super League will be played on May 23, 25, and 28 within a bio-bubble at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur. All matches will be day-night affairs.

The Sri Lanka Team will undergo a mandatory quarantine before they will be allowed to practice from Wednesday.

Dashing wicket-keeper batsman Kusal Janith Perera will lead the side and Kusal Mendis will be acting as his deputy.

Bangladesh lost the recent away two-match Test series against the Island nation.

This will be Bangladesh's third ODI series within the ICC's World Cup qualifying campaign.

They are currently in seventh place after defeating West Indies 3-0 at home in January while Sri Lanka are in ninth place. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh recently played a two-match Test series, which was won by the former. Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by 209 runs in the second Test, while the first Test ended in a draw.
