SLB conducts virtual fitness programme

‘Keep Shuttle Fit’ programme is conducted every weekday

Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) has launched an online fitness programme to help shuttlers keep their fitness routines intact during the pandemic.

The programme, named ‘Keep Shuttle Fit’, is conducted by the national coaches, sees 28 players in the National Pool and as many players in the Challenger Pool, taking part in virtually conducted fitness sessions at their homes instead at their regular training centers, under the watchful eyes of their coaches. Apart from the national players and the Challenge Pool members, two satellite National Pools in Ambalangoda and Kandy also join the ‘Keep Shuttle Fit’ programme which is conducted every weekday for a period of three hours.

Players in the National Junior Pool also joined the virtual fitness sessions.
