Nuwan Shiroman to coach in Indonesia

Nuwan Shiroman

Nuwan Shiroman, who guided Lankan CC to win the SLC Under-23 Cricket Tournament, left for Indonesia for a new coaching assignment yesterday.

The 46-year-old will start his new job as High-Performance Director of Cricket Indonesia.

“I got this new post in Indonesia and I think this is a good opportunity for me at this stage,” Shiroman told the Daily News yesterday.

“I did my best for Lankan CC during the past two years and ended with a good note to clinch the Under-23 Championship for the first time,” said the former schoolboy of St. Aloysius’ College, Galle.

Shiroman also played for Galle CC, Sebastianites CC, and Lankan CC as an all-rounder. He played in 127 First-Class matches and later played in the Australia League tournament before starting his coaching career. He was one time Thailand Coach.
