Netball Elections postponed

The elections of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) scheduled to be held on May 25 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 situation.

According to the Chairman of the Netball Election Committee Retired Supreme Court Judge Upali Abeyratne the objections of the nomination of the Netball Elections is scheduled to be considered today (5).

But due to the present situation in the country the parties who are engaged with these objections have difficulties arriving in Colombo.

The new date for the consideration of objections and the new election date will be notified later.

Former Director General of Sports Ranjani Jayakody, Gampaha District MP Kokila Gunawardena and former Sport Director Padma Beddewela have submitted their nominations for the post of president. (D.R)
