Football Federation rebrands as FSL

The new FSL logo

The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) has rebranded itself as ‘Football Sri Lanka’ (FSL). The logo was approved at a Special General Meeting of the FFSL held recently.

This will enable FSL to promote and develop the growth of football island-wide as a united nation on and off the field.

Bearing this in mind FSL has revolutionised its logo to bring a more sophisticated and personal touch to its brand.

The new logo embraces numerous characteristics: Half Curve (rising of football Sri Lanka back to its glory days), royal blue (richness towards the game of football in Sri Lanka), gold (strength and power towards the game of football), the Lion (Sri Lanka’s identity and our heart in battle), white (The integrity of all football in Sri Lanka and its players towards the game), gold frame (discipline and character of football Sri Lanka and its players), Football Sri Lanka (name of the institution).

The new logo also represents a fresh start on the journey to success for FSL.

It is currently a very exciting time for FSL, with Sri Lanka’s first-ever professional football league, the super league, currently ongoing, and international football set to return for the national team.

With a lot of development already having taken place in recent times, this change comes at an important juncture to help continue and grow the development of football in Sri Lanka at national and International level. (AN)
