Chathurika sets three SL records at Asian Meet

Sri Lankan weightlifter Chathurika Weerasinghe set up three Sri Lanka records in the 81kg weight class at the Asian Weightlifting Championships now in progress in Uzbekistan.

Chathurika is the only female competitor representing Sri Lanka at this meet, which is also considered as a qualification event for the Tokyo Olympics.

She couldn't win a medal in her weight class but was able to set up Sri Lankan records with the highest weight in snatch method, clean and jerk method and overall weight in this weight class.
