Galaxy Cup Volleyball Tourney from March 16

The inaugural Galaxy Cup National Volleyball Championship 2021, organised by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVF) and hosted by Baosheng Lanka Investment Holding (Pvt) Limited, will commence on March 16 at the Volleyball House Sports Complex in Dadalla, Galle.

The championship will be conducted on a Super League basis for Under-25 players for both Men and Women. The first round matches will start from March 16 to 22 and the semi-finals will be played at the NYSC Indoor Stadium in Maharagama on March 26 and 27, while the finals will be worked off at same venue on April 10.

Army SC, Navy SC, Air Force SC, NYSC, United SC, Nattandiya, CEB, Joseph Vaz SC, and Golden Tigers SC will clash in the Men’s category, while Army SC, Navy SC, Air Force SC, NYSC, Hirdaramani SC, MAS Casualline, Mahauswewa SC, Golden Birds SC, Vijayaba SC, Hungama, and Super Kings SC, Ampara will compete in the women’s event.

The winners of each category will be offered a cash award of Rs. 1 million and a trophy while the runners-up and third places will receive Rs.500,000 and Rs.200,000 respectively.
