Blue Star SC edged-out Red Star SC 2-0 in the Pre-League Football Tournament opening fixture played at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.
The winners dominated the game and sealed the contest in their favour while scoring a goal during each half.
Blue Star SC opened scoring in the 15th minute following a superb effort from striker M. N. Fazal who responded well after a move initiated by M. N. Fahir.
The winners then sealed the game in the 12th minute of the second half with M. Risan scoring a beautiful goal with the support of T. Kajakopan.
