Southern Province athletes awarded colours

Athlete M.D.R.S. Kumara received colours from Dr. Wilie Gamage the Governor of Southern Province

Medalists of the 45th National Sports Festival in 2019 and medalists of the South Asian Games (SAG) in Southern province were awarded colours at the Southern Province Sports Colours Awards ceremony conducted by Sports Ministry of Southern Province at the Southern Province Governor’s office Labuduwa, Galle, recently.

Dr. Wilie Gamage the Governor of Southern Province participated as the Chief guest of the Colours award ceremony. R.C. De Zoysa, Chief Secretary of Southern Province, Mrs. Dilekha Kudachchi Secreatry of Southern Province Governor, Bimal Indrajith De Silva, Secretary of Sports Southern Province participated as the guests of honour at this ceremony.

265 Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists of the 45th National Sports Festival 2019 Athletics (Men & Women), Badminton (Men & Women), Basketball (Women), Beach Volleyball (Men), BodyBuilding (Men), Boxing (Men & Women), Chess (Women), Elle (Men), Football (Men), Gymnastic (Men), Hockey (Men & Women), Karate-D0 (Men & Women), Race Walking (Women), Rugby Football (Men & Women), Softball Cricket (Women), Swimming (Women), Table Tennis (Men & Women), Taekwondo (Men & Women), Weightlifting (Men & Women), Wrestling (Men & Women), Wushu (Men & Women) were awarded colours and Prize money. Medalists of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) in Nepal in 2019 were also awarded colours and Prize money.
