Four players from LPL champions Jaffna Stallions felicitated

Vijayakanth Viyaskanth of Jaffna Central College, Thevendram Dinoshan of St. John’s College Jaffna, Kanagarathnam Kabilraj old boy of St. John’s Jaffna, Sebastianpillai Vijayaraj old boy of Pallei Maha Vidyalaya along with Yoheswaran Ratheepan, the Liaison Officer of Jaffna Stallions and President of Northern Province Cricket Association who were honoured are seen here with the officials.

The Cricket Loving Community of Jaffna under the patronage of JURA (one of the co sponsors of Jaffna Stallions based in Great Britain) hosted a reception for the young talents from Northern Province who were part of the Inaugural Lanka Premier League (LPL) 20-20 Champions Jaffna Stallions team on Saturday, 19th December 2020 in the J Guest house at Ariyalai, Jaffna.

S. K. Elilventhran, Principal of Jaffna Central College, V. S. B. Thuseetharan, Principal of St. John’s College, A. S. Nishanthan, President of Jaffna District Cricket Association, K. Sasikaran, Secretary of Jaffna District Cricket Association, L. Sivashankar, Treasurer of Jaffna District Cricket Association, G. Gopikrishna President, Association of Cricket Umpires, Jaffna, T. Kirubaharan Secretary, Association of Cricket Umpires, Jaffna, Jaffna Central College Coaches . S. Sureshmohan and . K. Shelton, St. John’s College Coach . Pathmanathan Lavendra were among the limited dignitaries invited to the function in accordance with the health regulations due to the COVID 19 epidemic and the event was well coordinated.

Principals of Jaffna Central and St. John’s expressed similar sentiments on the prowess of young cricketers who now have a bright future. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Thevendram Dinoshan, Kanagarathnam Kabilraj and Sebastaimpillai Vijayaraj shared their experience with the gathering.

Viyaskanth, Kabilraj, Dinoshan, Vijayaraj and Ratheepan were presented with a memento each by the Cricket Loving Community of Jaffna followed by a fellowship lunch.
