LPL and England tour under strict health guidelines

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that the LPL Cricket Tournament to be held in Sri Lanka from November 26 to December 16 and the England Cricket Tour starting from the January 14, 2021 will be held in accordance with the Health Guidelines.

A special discussion was held at the Ministry of Health this morning (23) under the patronage of the Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi and with the participation of the officials of the Board of Control for Sri Lanka Cricket.

The issues discussed at this meeting were the health care of cricketers coming to Sri Lanka from foreign countries and the health care of Sri Lankan cricketers. Accordingly, the Health Authority and the Cricket Board agreed to hold the two series in accordance with a series of guidelines prepared in accordance with the recommendations of the Active Covid-19 Technical Committee of the Ministry of Health.
