Athletic Nationals re-scheduled for December

Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) yesterday decided to conduct the 98th Annual National Track and Field Championships on December 26, 27, 28 and 29 in Colombo.

Earlier, this meet was schedule for December 5 and 6 but had to be postpone because of the prevailing health situation in the country.

However, the new dates for the meet are subject to the approval of the Health Ministry authorities, Secretary SLA, Prema Pinnawala told the Daily News yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Junior National Athletic Championships, which was schedule to be worked off on November 21, 22 and 28 has been cancelled.
