Argentina footballer Diego Maradona dies at 60

Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona has passed away at the age of 60, a spokesman has confirmed to AFP.

According to AFP News Agency, the football legend passed away after suffering a heart attack at his home.

It comes just two weeks after the World Cup winner left hospital where he underwent surgery on the brain.

Reports claim that paramedics were called to the former Napoli player's home, but despite attempts to resuscitate him, he sadly died.

Maradona captained his country to victory in 1986 and with spells at Boca Juniors, Barcelona, and Sevilla, is widely considered to be the greatest player of all time.
