Ankle injury rules Oshada Fernando out of LPL

Oshada Fernando has been ruled out for at least one week from the ongoing Lanka Premier League tournament following a MRI scan done after he injured his ankle in Dambulla Viiking’s match against Kandy Tuskers on Saturday (28).

“The report on Oshada’s injury has come through and as we suspected, it is a soft tissue injury around his ankle.

He will be unavailable for at least one week”, said a member of the Dambulla Viiking medical staff.

Fernando had to retire hurt due to the injury he sustained while batting and played no further part in the game as the Viiking’s went on to beat the Tuskers by 4 runs on the DLS method.
