The Evertop Heroes team, Addalaichenai, emerged champions of the Premier League Soccer Tournament conducted by the Addalaicheni Evertop Sports Club when they beat the defending champions, Evertop Champions team, Addalaichenai by 5-4 on a penalty shootout in the final played at Addalaichenai Zahra Vidyalaya grounds recently.
The Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha Member and Evertop Sports Club President A.L. Ajmal organised this tournament, while Evertop Champions, Evertop Legends, Evertop Heroes and Evertop Kings teams participated in a league system.
Evertop Heroes beat Evertop Champion team in the final round. Neither team scored a single goal till the last minute, then the teams received five penalty kicks each.
The Addalaichenai Zahra Vidyalaya Principal and the Addalaichenai Lucky Sports club Advisor M.S.M. Fairoos participated as the Chief Guests. At the awards ceremony, prizes and trophies for the winning teams were distributed by the guests at the event.
The Addalaicheni Evertop Sports Club Coach, A.L. Ramees, founder/secretary A.L. Rajmin, Evertop Club's past presidents, and club officials also participated.
