The two mile sea swim organized by Dharmasoka College Swimming Club for the 47th year in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sri Lanka Acquatic Sports Union will be conducted on the sea near Ambalangoda Rest House on February 23 (Sunday).
Only boys and girls who are over 12 years of age on February 1st will be eligible to take part in this meet.
The men's swimming meet will begin at 8 a.m while the women's meet will start at 8.30 a.m over 600 competitors from schools, police armed forces and coast guards will take part.
The best men's swimmer, best women's swimmer, the youngest men's swimmer, the youngest women's swimmer, best disabled swimmer and the oldest swimmer will receive trophies and cash prizes.
