Lyceum, Nugegoda and Panadura clash for Nikitha Grero Trophy

The much-awaited 5th Annual Cricket Encounter between Lyceum International School Panadura and Lyceum International School Nugegoda hosted by Lyceum Panadura for the Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy will be held from 9.00 a.m. onwards on the February 24th, 2020 at the De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa.

The Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy Cricket Encounter commenced in 2015 intending to provide students of Lyceum with the unique Big match experience and promote team spirit, bringing to reality the vision of Nikitha Grero, Chief Visionary Officer of the Lyceum International Schools Network.

Isuru Perera will lead the Lyceum Panadura team this year under the guidance of coaches Nadeep Jayasinghe, Lalith Perera and Teacher in charge Rumesh Wickramasinghe, while Danal Senevirathne will be leading the Lyceum Nugegoda team under the guidance of Head Coach Chamara Guruge and Teacher in Charge, Pathum Perera.

Lyceum Nugegoda obtained the title last three consecutive years in the history while Panadura won one. Lyceum Nugegoda won last years encounter by 48 runs while they will definitely look to extend their tally this year.

Deputy Director of Sports at Lyceum International Schools Sameera Pathum as well as all members of the management, sports departments, coaches, parents and everyone played a role in organising this event.

 The Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy cricket encounter will be sponsored by Zhontong Sri Lanka, Makeen Books (Pvt) Ltd, Uncle Sams Kitchen, Strategy Institute, NCG Holdings and Next Click Events.
