LB Finance, MAS Unichela and John Keells Group recorded wins o day one of the Singer-MCA Premier League tournament yesterday.
Defending league winner LB Finance beat Sri Lanka Cricket U-19 team by 73 runs according D/L method at MCA. T20 winner MAS Holdings Unichela beat knockout runners-up DIMO by 9 runs at Marian CC ground Katunayake and T20 runners-up John Keells Group beat Sampath Bank by 87 runs according D/L method at the P. Sara Oval.
Dhananjaya De Silva (LB Finance), Shehan Jayasuriya (LB Finance), Nipun Dhananjaya (SL Under 19’s), Kamindu Mendis (MAS Holdings Unichela) , Ramesh Mendis (Dimo) and Nipun Karunanayake (Dimo) made half centuries.
Jeewan Mendis (Sampath Bank), Dasun Shanaka (Sampath Bank), Nisala Tharaka (Dimo) and Lahiru Madusanka (MAS Holdings Unichela) performed well with the ball.
