Susantha clinches ‘Pot Black’ snooker c’ship

Susantha Boteju won the ‘Pot Black’ one frame snooker championship,conducted in connection with the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Moors Islamic Cultural Home (MICH), which was worked off at the Pasha Villa, Dematagoda Road Colombo yesterday. It has been an exciting event from start to finish in the three day tournament with the country’s best players competing.

Susantha Botejue beat Ishan Ali of (ACC) in the final. The winner received a trophy and Rs. 50,000, runner-up Rs. 25,000, third placed Rs. 10,000 and fourth place Rs. 5,000. Al-Haj Omar Kamil, president of MICH was the chief guest. The guest of honour was the president of the Billiards and Snooker Association Noor Zulsky Passela.

In the first semifinal Ishan Ali (AAC) beat Susntha Wickrama (Army) and Suysnstha Boteju (Sea Endless) beat M. Rasheed (8 BPP)
