A splendid 124 runs by former Sebs captain Nuwanidu Fernando guided Singhalese Sports Club to beat Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club by 118 runs in their inter club Colombo District Division three tournament cricket match played at Colombo. By virtue of this win Singhalese sports club has qualified for the semi Finals.
Nuwanidu hit nine fours and nine sixes and occupied the crease for 118 minutes and faced 86 balls.
Batting first homesters scored 274 runs and Avishka Senadeera too contributed 41 runs and in reply visitors were 156 runs with Daminda Reshan scoring 42 runs.
SSC – 274 in 48.1 overs – (Avishka Senadeera 41, Gihan Sampath 2/46, Pasindu Jayaranjana 3/64).
Bloomfield C&AC – 156 in 36.2 – (Nuwan Dilshan 26, Daminda Reshan 42, Manula Perera 2/21, Sasith Manuranga 2/17).
