Oluvil Al-Madeena Vidyalaya emerged Grade 4 and 5 mixed category champions in the Addalaichenai Divisional Kids’ Athletic Festival-2019 for grade 3,4 and 5 students which was conducted by the Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Office worked off at the An-Noor Maha Vidyalaya Play Grounds, Addalaichenai recently.
The Akkaraipattu Schools Sports Development Programme Coordinator A.L.Faiz organized the event.
Students from Addalaichenai Divisional Schools including Addalaichenai, Palamunai and Oluvil areas competed in five events at a one-day event where Addalaichenai Divisional Education Officer M.A.C.Gassaly presided over.
About 1250 students of mixed and boys’ and girls’ kids’ teams from 24 primary schools in the Addalaichenai educational division took part in the sports festival.
Sprint hurdles, knee throw, squared jump, cross hopping and skipping were some of the games that was held at the event.
Compeering of the event was done by the students from the same age groups. The judges selected each school in accordance with the performance.
Winners were congratulated by the Al-Madeena Vidyalaya Principal K.L.Ameer, Teachers, Parents and Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Director A.M.Rahmathullah.
