Nethmal plays key role in St. Joseph Vaz’ success

Let hand middle order batsman Nethmal de Soysa helped St. Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa to book a berth in the semi-finals of the under 15 division one all island cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association for the Singer Trophy.

Nethmal scored 354 runs in ten innings with a splendid 156 runs against Bandaranayake Vidyalaya Gampaha and 68 runs versus St Annes College Kurunegala at an average of 39.3 Vazians were unbeaten throughout the tournament. They are coached by Amila Sampath and the Teacher in Charge of Cricket is Mrs Dilhani Perera.
