National Para Athletics C’ship 2019 concludes

Warnakulasuriya Amila Prasan receiving the Athlete of the Year trophy from Arjuna Ranathunga, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, at the National Para Athletics Championship 2019 held at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo. Nuwan Indika of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment and Buddika Indrapala – Commando Regiment Sports Club, who became joint champions at the National Para Athletics Championship 2019 receiving the trophy from Pradeep Keerthirathne, Vice President - National Sales at Dialog Axiata PLC, Both athletes secured 3 gold medals each and set a new games record. Thisara Jayasinghe of Rehab Lanka Sports club, who became women’s champion at the National Para Athletics Championship 2019 receiving the trophy from Pradeep Keerthirathne, Vice President - National Sales at Dialog Axiata PLC, Thisara secured 3 gold medals in Javelin, Discuss and Shot Put establishing a new meet record. Also in the picture – Maj. Gen. Rajeewa Wickramasinghe, Former President, NPC Sri Lanka
