Kandy Police Rugby team became the Best outstation Rugby team for the second successive year at the All Island Police 10-a-side Rugby tournament held from September 5 to 7 at the Police Grounds, Bambalapitiya.
Out of the twenty four teams participated in the annual event Kandy rugby team emerged runners-up in the Plate Championship. The Manager of the Kandy Police rugby team was Superintendent of Police, Sarath Tennakoon, assisted by Asst.Superintendent of Police, Kamal Ariyawansha, and H.Q.I .Sanjeewa Mahanama.
The Kandy Police rugby team was captained by Sub-Inspector, W.Prasad
