Naduka to skipper Cambrians this season

Third year coloursman right hand middle order but and right arm fast medium bowler Thevarathanthrige Naduka Fernando will captain Prince of Wales College Moratuwa first-eleven cricket team in the forthcoming inter schools cricket season and his deputy will be Lakshan Perera.

He commenced his school career at St. Johns Private School Panadura in 2007 and passing the grade five scholarship examination he entered Prince of Wales college in 2012.

Playing in division one in the under 17 team he scored 205 runs and took 20 wickets and in 2018 he captained the same team and scored 250 runs and claimed 15 wickets and reached the pre-quarters.

While playing in the under 17 he was selected to the first eleven team and scored 202 runs and captured 25 wickets and last season he bagged 30 wickets. He played in two big matches and two limited over matches.

In addition he represented Matugama Sports Club in division two under 23 tournament. He was coached by former Cambrian Kalpa Fernando who left recently to join St. Josephs College Colombo.

The master in charge is Kasun Devapriya and the Prefect of Games is Vajira Abeywickrama withthe principal Kusala J. Fernando extending his fullest sport.
