Sylvestrians defeat Lumbini Royal

St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy beat Lumbini Royal College by nine wickets in their inter-school under 15 division 3 cricket tournament match played at Pallekele Open Prison grounds recently.

Scores:

Lumbini Royal College 21 all out in 8.5 overs (Mayura Marasinghe 4 for 16, Lakshitha Herath 5 for 4) and 147 all out (Tharushika Thennakoon 51, Thimira Liyanage 6 for 55, Ashen Dissanayake 3 for 43)

St. Sylvester’s College 129 for 8 dec. in 26 overs (Sihina Bandara 36, Aruth Abeyarathne 27, Tharushika Tennakoon 5 for 17, Anjana Bandara 2 for 6) and 40 for 1 (Sihina Bandara 25 n.o., Tharusha Weerakkody 14 n.o.)
