S. Thomas’ ‘B’ and Royal ‘B’ win

S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia ‘B’ and Royal College, Colombo ‘B’ won their second round fixtures of the Singer Trophy Under 17 Division Two inter-school cricket tournament on Thursday.

The Thomians beat St. Patrick’s College, Jaffna by seven wickets in Jaffna and Royal beat newcomers to division two Royal College, Polonnaruwa at Polonnaruwa. Scores: At Jaffna S. Thomas’ Mt. At Polonnaruwa Royal College, Colombo ‘B’ won by 42 runs Royal‘B’ 212 in 49.3 overs (Resandu Thillakaratne 89, Uthum Dissanayake 35, Haritha Ravisara 3/34, Samith Supunthenna 2/38, Dilan Sandaruwan 2/47) Royal, Polonnaruwa 170 in 46.4 overs (Sashan Kalhara 48, Damith Kappagoda 2/22, Uthum Dissanayake 2/23, Nipuna Kandimarchchi 2/29, Devin Dewanarayana 2/33)
