A record crowd is expected for the T20 matches between Sri Lanka and New Zealand to be played at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium on September the 1, 3 and 6.
Around 23,000 spectators can be accommodated at this picturesque grounds. According to the secretary of the CPCA, Janaka Pathirana, the weather is bright with no rain clouds and they expect a clear day on September 1. He further said that there will be 700 police personnel on duty in the grounds and outside. All security arrangements will be handled by the former Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Roshan Gunathillake, and according to the secretary CPCA, all tickets have been sold.
