The management of the Nondescripts Cricket Club on behalf of all at the NCC have sent their fellow member, Kumar Sangakkara, their heartiest congratulations on his nomination as the president of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the first non-British president of the MCC.
Sangakkara’s phenomenal record on and off the field, his exemplary leadership qualities and his excellent oratorical skills has made him one of the most admired international cricketers of the current era.
Kumar joined the NCC soon after leaving school and represented the club in the Premier Inter Club cricket tournament from 1997/98 to 2011, and was eventually appointed as Sri Lanka captain in the year 2009.
NCC extends its warm wishes for his success in his new role as president of the Marylebone Cricket Club.
