Irakkamam Hollywood Sports Club beat Sammanthurai Unity Cricket Team by 3 runs in the final to emerge champions and bagged the ‘Brilliant Champion Trophy-2019’ of the limited over’s floodlit cricket tournament conducted by Old Boys Sports Club, Irakkamam at the Irakkamam Riverbank Play Grounds recently.
Irakkamam Hollywood Sports Club, won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 50 runs in their allocated five overs for 3 wickets. In reply, Sammanthurai Unity Cricket Team, scored 47 runs in the five overs all out.
Man of the match N.M.Zahir and man of the series M.Atheef of the Irakkamam Hollywood SC were awarded prizes.
Irakkamam Pradeshiya Sabha Member M.L.Musmi participated as the Chief Guest at the award ceremony.
Winners were awarded a Trophy and Rs.30,000.00 cash prize by the chief guest and the Sammanthurai Unity Cricket Team was awarded a cash prize of Rs.20,000.00 and a trophy.
