Janaka Silva appointed assistant national football coach

Lyceum International School head coach Janaka Silva has been appointed to assistant National football head coach to Nizam Packeer Ali for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and SAG 2019 tournaments the Football Federation of Sri Lanka announced.

An old Boy of St. Anthony’s College, Wattala, Janaka has played “A” division football from 1995 to 2014, representing clubs such as Old Bens SC, Pettah United SC and Sri Lanka Navy SC. He has also played professional football in the Maldivian league representing Hurriya Sports Club in 2003/04 and Sosun Sports Club in 2007. He represented Sri Lanka for eight years from 2000. - KR
