Piliyandala Central into semi-finals

Piliyandala Central College advanced to the semi-finals of the Singer Trophy Under 19 Division Two inter- schools 2-day knockout cricket tournament yesterday.

Piliyandala Central College beat St. Peter’s College Negombo by 9 wickets in the quarter final played at Arons Country Club grounds Bulathsinhala.

At Bulathsinhala: Piliyandala Central won by 9 wickets.

St. Peter’s Negombo: 140 in 64.2 overs (Umesh Lakshan 28, Brian Jullius 26, Ushan Deemantha 7/40, Sandun Sathsara 2/21) and 74 in 24 overs (Heshan Madushanka 8/39, Sadun Sathsara 2/17)

Piliyandala Central: 178 in 47.5 overs (Malshan Gunathilake 36, Chamod Sandaru 34, Janith Dilshan 26, Heshan Madusanka 24, Briyan Jullius 3/24, Samindu Madusanka 3/33, Tramod Kavindu 2/44, Dineth Thathsara 2/49) and 41/1 in 8.4 overs (Chamod Sadaru 20 n.o.)
