Sri Lankan elected director of West Asia Baseball

Sri Lanka Amateur Baseball/Softball Association President Fazil M. Hussain has been elected as the Director of the West Asia Baseball Federation of Asia at the Congress meeting held in Taipei.

This is the first time a Sri Lankan baseball official has been elected to this top post. Hussain is an active committee member of the National Olympic Committee and has already started new development activities for baseball. The new post of the West Asia of Baseball Federation marks the beginning of a new era for baseball in Sri Lanka.
