Eight-year-old D.Thisara Thathsarani of Sri Sangamiththa Balika Vidayalaya,Colombo 10, won gold medal in the under 08 age category at Sri Lanka National Karate Championship 2018 held at Bandaragama Indoor Stadium recently. It was conducted by Sri Lanka Karate Do Federation.
Thisara is well trained by her karate master, Sensei Mahesh Kumara, Wasantha Senevirathna and Godakubura teacher, the Karate teacher at her school. She is well supported by her parents, School Principal Thusari de silva and instructors.
According to her instrutors Thisara is higly talented and has a bright future in the sport.
