Prestige Automobile (Pvt) Ltd will power the MCA ‘C’ division 50 Over League Tournament 2019 for the eighth successive year and offer the BMW/Hyundai Trophy for the winner. The tournament for the second year around will be conducted under the One Day International format.

The following 10 teams, drawn into two groups are in the fray:
Group A : Nations Trust Bank ‘A’ , J.L. Morison, Standard Chartered Bank, Commercial Bank ‘A’ & Asia Asset Finance.
Group B: Peoples Leasing & Finance, Pyramid Wilmer, HNB Finance, PABC Bank & Commercial Leasing.
In the previous tournament, Kanrich Finance lifted the “BMW/Hyundai” Trophy, beating Citizens Development Business Finance by 23 runs in D&L method in the final played on 17th March 2018 at the MCA Grounds.
The tournament will be conducted in 02 stages: the league, containing 20 matches and the Knock-out, containing 07 matches. The league stage will get under way today and will go on till 24th February 2019. The selected venues for League stage are Thurstan College, De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa, BRC, Surrey, Maggona & MCA.
At the completion of the round robin matches, the first 04 teams of each group will advance to the quarter finals.
The quarter finals are scheduled to be played on 02nd & 03rd March; the Semi Finals on 09th March and the Final on 16th March at the MCA grounds.
Special Awards on offer are Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Man of the Series and Man of the Final.
