A chanceless 98 runs and 3 for 38 by the captain of Moratu Vidyalaya Vihunga Nimsara Medis guided his alma-mater to defeat formidable Royal College Colombo by fifteen runs with five wickets intact on first innigns in their inter school under 13 division three tournament cricket match played at Colombo and with this win Vidyalians are through to the third round.
Batting first Royalist scored 185 runs with Shahan Saranga and Nikitha Alwis scoring 63 and 52 runs respectively and in reply Vidylaians were 200 for 5 at stumps. They are coached by former Panadura Royalist Thilina Silva.
He is having a very successful season with 526 runs with two centuries and two fifties with a healthy average of 75.1 and he has claimed 31 2ickets with his off spinners and he had three five wickets hauls. He opens batting and he is a left hander.
