International Schools under 20 netball tourney on January 27

The Inter-International School Under 20 Netball Tournament will be held on January 27, 2019 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium hosted by Ilma International Girls’ School for the ninth consecutive year. The event is open to all the schools that come under the TISSL (The International Schools of Sri Lanka) umbrella and ten institutions will take part in this year’s edition.

Gateway International Colleges (Colombo and Kandy), Lyceum International School (Panadura), Royal Institute and Asian International School will compete with each other in Group A category while hosts Ilma International School, Lyceum International School (Wattala), Colombo International School,British School and Serendib Burhani School will vie with each other in Group B.

Gateway College, Colombo will defend their title that they won last year after a gripping final against Ilma International School.

The Principal of Ilma International School Mrs. Fareeda Wahab stated, “Many young players sometimes believe that it is merely their talent that matters. However, talent combined with skill, are just part of the ingredients towards the achievement of overall success in learning and improving; not just winning.”

The Main Sponsor of the Tournament is HUF and DEE, one of the leading ladies wear brand exclusively available at all NOLIMIT and Glitz outlets. The other leading sponsors are Hatton National Bank and American National College.
