Bid to promote volleyball at Dhammissara National School

A Volleyball Promotional Campaign with the aim of uplifting the standard of volleyball was held at Dammissara National School, Nattandya recently.

This campaign was organised by the Old Boys Association and teachers of the school to coincide with the sports meet. A special lecture was made by an old student of the school and Senior Lecturer of Kelaniya University Ajith Dissanayake on how to conduct sports in Schools without any disturbances to school subjects. The volleyball players of the school who helped to become champions in the past years received special awards on the occasion. At present, many international level players have been produced by Dammissara national School and we have already planned to conduct all popular sports of the country in our school ,” Principal Anil Pushpakumara said.
